
The Monte Carlo Hotel Casino in Las Vegas is on fire. CNN has live coverage. It appears a good portion of the facade on the front of the building is on fire. The hotel is being evacuated .
Firefighters have contained a three-alarm fire at the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
Flames roared through what appeared to be the top five floors of parts of the west and south wings of the 32-floor building. It's believed the fire started in the west wing, according to television reports.
About 3,000 were in the casino when the fire was reported just after 11 a.m. It's believed all were evacuated safety but firefighters are going through the building to make sure.
There are no reports of injuries. What ignited the blaze hasn't been determined but reportedly there were welders working on the casino roof Friday morning.
The casino has more than 3,000 guest rooms and suites. It was built in 1996.
